Girls participated enthusiastically in the Blood Donation Camp

 

 

 

To mark Voluntary Blood Donation Day and Gandhi Jayanti, the NSS unit of ICG organized a Blood Donation Camp in the college campus today i.e. October 1, 2009.  

Dr. Urmil Dhuriya and a team of 7 members from Swasthya Kalyan Blood Bank assisted in the conduction of the Camp and made the students aware of the importance of blood donation as well as basic necessities for blood donation in the seminar organized afterwards. They first checked the Hemoglobin level, weight and blood pressure of the students. 

Also on the occasion, a team from Rajasthan State Aids Control Society visited the college and informed the students about the Aids control measures and value of blood donation by the help of street play. 

This programme was inaugurated by Director Dr. Ashok Gupta who encouraged the students to participate in this noble work and serve humanity. Dr. Sharad Rathod, the Programme Head of NSS Wing of ICG stated that about 200 students registered themselves for the blood donation and in all 70 girls donated about 70 units of blood.
