A series of two lectures
on Radio Programme Formats was organized by the department. The Resource
person was Shri Ikram Rajasthani, Former Director, All India Radio,
Jaipur Kendra, Jaipur. Shri Rajasthani discussed the importance of radio and its growth. He explained how Radio has become one of the important mass medium. He informed students about different format of radio programming. He said that music is one of the major format of radio, the other important formats include- news, advertisement, documentary, speech, interview, talk etc. He also emphasized the importance of FM in today’s world in spite of it being a competitor for All India Radio. |
