The two working units of the
National Service Scheme at ICG organised an Inter-Collegiate Patriotic Song
Competition at the IIIM auditorium on the 26th September, 2006.
With 6 colleges participating in the Solo and Gropup Song categories, the
afternoon was rendered exceptionally melodious with the sounds of patriotism
and nationalistic fervour being recreated in a crescendo of young and
vibrant voices.
Chief Guest for the day, Mr Yadvendra Mathur commended the efforts of the
organising college as well as that of the participating teams – be it the
winning team or those who didn’t bag a coveted place; but where a
competition exists, winners there must be! In the Solo song category,
Prashasti Jain of ICG bagged the first position while Geetika Bhatt and
Savita Rajoria of Maharani’s College and Biyani College came in second and
third, respectively. The group category had ICG coming in as the winners
with Biyani College in second place and Kanoria College getting third place.
