Inter-House Solo Dance Competition

4 September, 2006  The Annual Solo Dance Competition rang in the undergraduate Inter-house activities for the new academic session with melody, rhythm and uproarious applause. Held in two separate categories – Folk and Semi-classical, the competition put the three esteemed judges’ Mrs. Manju Sharma, Ms. Shweta Garg and Mrs. Manju Sharmas’ experience and skill to the test, but competitions are meant for winners and winners there were – Surbhi Kabra was adjudged the winner in the Semi-classical category with Neha Jain bagging the runner up position and Parul Jaiman and Harshita Kothari jointly became the first runners up.Aditi Sharma’s performance was appreciated with a consolation prize. In the Folk category Neha Jain came first with Surbhi Kabra and Gincy Varghese coming in at second and third place respectively and Aishwarya Hada was given the consolation prize. To the great joy of the members Pearl house took first place in the Folk dance category and where the Semi-classical category was concerned it was the turn of Sapphire house to rejoice. Thus, amidst cheer and great celebration the first house activity of the academic year concluded.
