Winter Funk dance workshop by Shiamak Davar at ICG commences……

‘Dance can be cathartic. That it can rejuvenate the body, energize the mind and throw open hitherto shut windows in the subconscious is something we do know.

A 15 daylong winter dance funk workshop under the aegis of the Shiamak Davar Institute of Performing Arts commenced on   13th of November 2006 at IIIM Auditorium. 3 batches with 30 students each enrolled for the same.

The workshop is conducted by special instructors Atul and Naveen who have been closely associated with the Shiamak Davar Institute for Performing Arts, popularly known as SDIPA.

During the course of workshop the participants will be taught the intricacies of dance performances. This workshop will culminate in a grand show that will be organized on 30th Nov at Birla Auditorium. The dance mestro Shaimak Davar himself is expected to be present to boost the budding artistes.

Davar, the founder of SDIPA, is an acclaimed choreographer, dancer, singer and actor, with national and international awards to his credit.
