Independence Day, August 15th commemorates the day in 1947 when India
achieved freedom from British rule. It is an occasion to rejoice our freedom
and to pay homage to all those people who sacrificed their lives to the
cause.
I-Day was celebrated with full gaiety and patriotic spirit at the Play
house, IIS. The programme began with a ‘Basket Drill’ presented by the
students of KG-I and KG-II. The kiddies made a patriotic dance presentation
embodying the spirit of ‘Unity in Diversity’ and kindled the spirit of
patriotism among the fellow students. They showed their patriotic fervour by
singing ‘Takat Watan Ki Hum Se Hai' dressed in tri-colour costumes. |
