International School of Informatics & Management (ISIM) launched the 14thInternationalConferenceon Management& Information Technology (ICMIT-2024) on 20th-21stSeptember 2024 the theme of the conference was“AI-driven Innovations: Transforming IT & Management Dynamics”.
The two-day event held at ISIM on the 20thand 21stof September 2024 brought together thought leaders, academicians, and professionals from across the globe to explore the latest developments in AI-driven technologies and their transformative impact on IT and management. The conference received many responses, and selected papers were presented during the conference.
The conference was organized in collaboration with the Institute for Leadership and Development Communication, Nigeria, South Asian Institute for Social Transformation, Bangladesh, BLS Bizotto Academic Advisory Company, Brazil, Bingham University, Nigeria, Northern University Bangladesh, Dhaka, Jigyasa University, Uttarakhand, Abhilashi University, Himachal Pradesh, and IIS (deemed to be University), Jaipur
The conference commenced with lighting the lamp during the Inaugural Ceremony,which featured esteemed guests and insightful addresses.
Prof Roopa Mathur, Director, IIIM, warmly welcomed all participants, stating that AI as a power should be used with vigilance. Setting a positive tone for the conference Prof Mathur wished success to the conference.
“AI once the concept of science fiction has become a reality” Prof Manju Nair, Principal, IIIM, provided an overview of the conference’s objectives, emphasizing the significance of AI in reshaping the future of IT and management.
Chief Guest, Mr Rishabh Nag, Founder of Humanly.ai, delivered the Inaugural speech, shedding light on the evolving landscape of AI in the business world.
Guest of Honour, Mr Nishant Patni, a serial entrepreneur and angel investor, highlighted the role of AI in fostering innovation and growth in startups.
Keynote speaker Mr Rohit Mehta, Practice Head at Pratham Software, discussed automation testing and AI's potential in enhancing quality assurance processes.
The ceremony concluded with the release of the Book of Abstracts, encapsulating the contributions of researchers participating in the event. Technical Sessions followed the ceremony.
Technical Session I – AI-Driven Management: Harnessing Technology for Strategic Advantage
Two technical sessions were held on the first day and one on the second of the conference. The Technical Session-Ifocused on how AI technologies are shaping strategic advantages in management, with three distinguished speakers offering insights into AI applications across different industries.
Prof Dr Nazrul Islam opened the session by discussing the strategic importance of AI in management, emphasizing that AI technologies can optimize decision-making processes and foster innovation in organizations.
Mr Abdul HakimmChief Marketing Officer, Hoorain HTF Limited, Bangladesh followed with a presentation focused on the role of AI in marketing and customer management.
The final speaker of the session, Prof Dr Varinder Singh Rana, Professor, City University Ajman, UAE, provided insights on AI-driven strategies for competitive advantage in the global marketplace.
The session had 12 research papers presented, each focusing on different aspects of AI’s role in management. Key highlights from the papers included: AI-Driven Decision Making, Strategic AI Implementation and Challenges and Opportunities

Dr Poornima Mathur, Associate Professor at the International School of Informatics & Management, Jaipur, served as the rapporteur for the session.
Ms Ritu Khandelwal and Ms Anushri Vijay, from the International School of Informatics & Management, Jaipur, coordinated the session, ensuring its smooth execution by managing logistics and supporting the presenters.
Technical Session II – AI-Driven Emerging Technologies
The second technical session focused on AI-Driven Emerging Technologies. The session featured insightful presentations from international experts, highlighting the transformative role of AI in emerging fields and its impact on various sectors.
Dr Froilan D. Mobo, Professor, Philippine Merchant Marine Academy, Philippines opened the session with a comprehensive discussion on the application of AI in maritime and defence technologies.
Dr Nada Ratkovic, Assistant Professor, University of Split, Croatia followed with an engaging presentation on AI's role in tourism and economic development. Dr Ratkovic discussed how AI technologies are reshaping the tourism sector, from personalized travel recommendations to automated booking systems.
The final speaker, Prof (Dr) Beatriz Lucia Salvador Bizoto, Professor, UNIFACTVEST University, Brazil, provided insights into AI applications in healthcare and education, exploring how AI is revolutionizing these critical sectors
This session also offered researchers a platform to share innovative solutions and advancements in AI technology across different fields. It included the presentation of 12 research papers, each contributing to the understanding of AI's potential to transform various industries.

Panel Discussion – AI Readiness: Technology Impetus and Business Adoption
On 21st September 2024, the panel discussion on ‘AI Readiness: Technology Impetus and Business Adoption’ was a pivotal session at ICMIT 2024. The panel brought together industry leaders and academics to discuss the readiness of businesses to adopt AI technologies and the drivers behind its adoption. The discussion featured a dynamic exchange of ideas among the panellists.
Prof Anil Mehta, Department of Management, Banasthali Vidyapeeth was the moderator for the discussion
Dr Amit Joshi, Director, Global Knowledge Research Foundation, set the stage by discussing the current global trends in AI adoption across industries. He emphasized that AI is no longer a futuristic technology, but a present-day reality shaping business models.
Prof Akshay Dwivedi, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee followed with an effective presentation on the technological advancements that are making AI adoption more feasible.
Ms Anju Kohli, Business Head-Sales, Cyber Defense& Forensics, USA brought a security-focused perspective to the discussion by exploring the intersection of AI and cybersecurity. She provided key insights into how AI is being used.
Mr Sanjeev Soneja, Accenture, Manila, Philippines highlighted AI adoption from a corporate perspective, sharing how companies in different sectors are leveraging AI to stay competitive.
Mr Uday Nedunuri, General Manager, Suzlon Group, Dubai focused on AI in renewable energy. He discussed how AI is contributing to the optimization of energy production and distribution, particularly in the wind and solar energy sectors.
Mr Anuj Gandhi, Head of IT & Digital, Sterlite Power, Mumbaidiscussed how AI is being used for advanced data analytics, helping businesses make more data-driven decisions and improve overall performance.
Prof Anil Mehtaconcluded the panel by discussing the ethical considerations of AI adoption in businesses. Prof. Mehta discussed the potential impact of AI on employment.
The panel discussion provided a comprehensive overview of the state of AI readiness across industries and the technological, business, and ethical challenges surrounding its adoption.
Technical Session III– Strategizing in an AI-Dominated World
On 21st September 2024, the final technical session focused on the theme of Strategizing in an AI-dominated world. The session explored the strategies businesses and organizations need to adopt to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving AI landscape. Expert speakers provided insights on leveraging AI for long-term success across different sectors.
Dr Desmond Okocha Dean, Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, Bingham University, Nigeria opened the session with an insightful presentation on AI’s impact on media and communication strategies.
MD Alauddin, Academician and Entrepreneur, Bangladesh highlighted how startups and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) can leverage AI for growth by automating routine tasks, improving customer experiences, and gaining competitive intelligence through AI-powered analytics.
Dr Melissa Esposito Professor, ITI Medi San Giorgio a Cremano, Italy focused on AI in education and workforce development. Dr Esposito discussed how AI is transforming education by enabling personalized learning experiences.
The speakers offered diverse perspectives on how AI is reshaping communication, business operations, and workforce development. The participants enthusiastically asked questions which were very effectively answered by the speaker.
TrackIII witnessed the presentation of 14 research papers that explored the strategic implications of AI across different sectors, highlighting how businesses, organizations, and industries can adapt to thrive in a world increasingly shaped by AI technologies.
