The institute organized the second Srimad Bhagavad Gita International Conference (SBGIC-2025) on January 22 on the theme—Exploring Bhagavad Gita for Contemporary Business Management and Leadership. The aim of the conference was to reaffirm the Bhagavad Gita as a powerful source of inspiration, promoting spiritual growth and contributing to the pursuit of global peace. Additionally, the event aimed to demonstrate that the Srimad Bhagavad Gita offers timeless wisdom and guidance for humanity, providing an enduring vision for personal and collective well-being.

The conference commenced with the blessings of Swami Govind Dev Giri Ji, who joined online from Prayagraj. He emphasized the importance of resilience, urging everyone to keep smiling despite life's challenges. Guruji explained that the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita extend beyond Business, Management, and Leadership—they are lessons in ‘Life Management.’ He encouraged students to believe in themselves and stressed the need for staying organized to effectively navigate obstacles.

The Gita Wisdom Challenge-Quiz was also organized before the commencement of inaugural ceremony to make students familiar with the rich learning lessons from Gita and ignited the minds of the students towards application of the learnings.

The inaugural ceremony started by seeking blessings of God and lamp lighting. The welcome address was given by Dr. Roopa Mathur, Director, IIIM. She welcomed the guests and participants emphasized the significance of the Gita in life management. The Chief Guest, Mr. Yash Kalra, Director, highlighted how the Gita inspires humanity at every stage, with each character offering insights into the various roles individuals play. He emphasized that true success lies in recognizing one's eternal connection with Krishna and consistently nurturing four qualities: a positive mindset, physical well-being, the supreme soul, and the capacity to give and receive love.

The Guest of Honour, Shri Mahabhuja Gaur Prabhu, Senior Principal Technology Architect at Infosys, shared a captivating story of a rat tirelessly chasing satisfaction and success, only to realize that it remained elusive. His message to the students was that while life may seem like a relentless race, the teachings of the Gita provide valuable guidance on navigating this “Bhavsagar”. He stressed that the Bhagavad Gita is not merely a religious scripture but a comprehensive “Handbook for Life.”

The winners of The Gita Wisdom Challenge- ‘Quiz’ and Social Media Engagement winners were felicitated in the ceremony. The winner of - ‘Quiz’ was Ms. Megha Sharma from MBA, the first runner up was Mr. Garvit Joshi from IIS Sitapura and second runner up was Mr. Deepak Shrotiya from MCA batch. The winner of Social Media Engagement was Mr. Shivansh Pati, first runner up was Ms. Tishtha Madhu, and the second runner up was Ms. AradhyaTambi, all from IIS Sitapura.

The technical session was on "Emotional Intelligence in Management: Lessons from the Bhagavad Gita" The speakers in the session highlighted the role of Bhagavad Gita in handling emotions. Mahant Shri Deepak Vallabh Goswami, Director, Gyanam Foundation, emphasized how the Gita stabilizes one's emotions and empowers individuals to conquer themselves and, ultimately, the world. Mr. Sandeep Jhanwar, Partner at SCLJ & Associates, emphasized the lasting influence of ancient scriptures on human values. He advised students to "Be devoted to God." Ms. Charu Sharma, Deputy Commissioner, State GST, Rajasthan, explained how the Gita guides emotional intelligence by helping overcome fear and sadness through self-awareness, mental clarity, and balance. BK Kiran Di, RajYoga Teacher, Brahma Kumaris, stressed the importance of mastering the mind through devotional meditation for inner peace and discipline. Uma Shanmugam, ISKCON Chicago (Online) emphasized the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita, noting its interpretations vary with the reader's mindset. She encouraged students to reflect on how their actions impact others.

A panel discussion on "Learning Life Management through Bhagavad Gita" featured Prof. N Lakshmi Aiyar, Shri Vamsi Mohan Das Prabhu, and Mr. Hemant Gupta. Prof. Aiyar underscored the presence of Krishna as a beacon of light and urged kindness toward the underprivileged, financial prudence, and reverence for all deities. Mr. Gupta encouraged introspection in one’s engagement with scriptures, emphasizing purposeful learning. Shri Vamsi Mohan Das Prabhu began with sacred chants, highlighting the need for patience and mind control, while advocating a balance between smart and hard work.

SBGIC enriched the thought process of all attendees, inspiring them to explore and understand the deeper nuances of life management.
