The 23rd International Conference on Management and IT, hosted by IIIM on September 13th and 14th stood as a remarkable confluence of global academia, industry, and thought leadership. The conference was organized in collaboration with prestigious international and national institutions, including the Center for Integrated Research of Health and Development (CIRHD), Dhaka, the Organization for Social Orientation (OSO), Chittagong, Bangladesh, BLS Bizotto, Vacaria Rio Grande do sul, Brazil, the Global Edu Leaders Forum – International Division, the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, the Federal University of Santa Maria, Brazil, Veni Creator Christian University, Florida, USA, Hryhorii Skovoroda University in Pereiaslav, Ukraine, Odesa State Agrarian University, Ukraine; Abhilashi University, Himachal Pradesh, Himalayan University, Arunachal Pradesh, and IIS (Deemed to be) University, Jaipur. With its central theme, “Harnessing Metaverse & Data Analytics: Redefining IT & Business Approaches”, the conference provided an intellectually stimulating platform for deliberating on the transformative intersections of emerging technologies, business innovation, and societal advancement.
The event witnessed an overwhelming global response, attracting eminent scholars, researchers, and professionals from across Bangladesh, Brazil, the Philippines, Iraq, Jordan, the United Kingdom, the United States, Nigeria, Turkey, Ukraine, the UAE, and several other nations. This rich international participation not only reinforced the conference’s stature as a hub of cross-border collaboration but also fostered an exchange of pioneering ideas, innovative methodologies, and forward-looking perspectives.
The inaugural ceremony commenced with invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. Prof. Roopa Mathur, Director, IIIM, began by recalling how the Metaverse was once imagined as something confined only to movies. She observed that today it has officially moved beyond the world of imagination and firmly entered reality, now influencing businesses and quietly shaping every sphere of decision-making. While recognizing its transformative power, she also emphasized the importance of considering the ethical dimensions that accompany technological progress. Prof. Manju Nair, Principal, IIIM, complemented these insights by sharing that “the future is not something we enter, but something we co-create.” She also traced the progressive journey of the conference, highlighting how ICMIT, International Conference has grown from its origins as NCMIT, a national conference into a global platform, symbolizing the institution’s vision and commitment to advancing management and technology discourses.
Building on this foundation, Mr. Aviral Chitkara, Vice President – Operations, IT Sales & Marketing, Sarvika Technologies, Jaipur, applauded IIIM for organizing such a forward- looking conference. He noted that the Metaverse offers a three-dimensional immersive experience to customers and urged the audience to reflect deeply on its transformative impact by asking the essential questions of “who, what, when, why, and where.” Mr. Anil Pilania,Founder & Managing Director, MIDCAI, Jaipur, provided valuable life lessons for navigating careers, encouraging students to remain curious, embrace and learn from failures, cultivate resilience in the face of setbacks, and find balance in a consumer-driven digital world. He underscored the importance of being authentic, creative, and joyful throughout one’s professional journey. Dr. Aditi Gupta, CEO & Founder, TechTip24, Jaipur, highlighted an entrepreneurial perspective, reminding participants that learning must remain a lifelong process. She encouraged them to harness their strengths, build corporate experience as a foundation, and experiment with start-ups. Drawing on examples from Apple, Amazon, and Tesla, she stressed that customer-centric innovation is the key to success in the evolving landscape shaped by the Metaverse and augmented reality. The session also featured a special presentation on the glimpses of the journey of ICMIT, acquainting the audience with its legacy and milestones.
The technical sessions of the 23rd International Conference on Management and IT were thoughtfully designed around the central theme “Harnessing Metaverse & Data Analytics: Redefining IT & Business Approaches.” The first technical session on Business Transformation in the Era of Metaverse & Data Analytics featured distinguished experts including Dr. Mohammad Qais Rezvani, Strategic Advisor & International Representative, HOPE Foundation, Ecuador, Prof. (Dr.) Thanoon Yoonus Thanoon, Vice Chancellor Administrative Affairs, Northern Technical University, Iraq, and Prof. (Dr.) Varinder Singh Rana, Professor, City University Ajman, UAE, who deliberated on the disruptive role of digital ecosystems in reshaping organizations and decision-making frameworks. The second technical session, Advanced Data Analytics & Metaverse Development, enriched the discourse with insights from Dr. Froilan D. Mobo, Professor, Philippine Merchant Marine Academy, Philippines, Prof. (Dr.) Viana Hassan, Professor, American University of Malta, Malta, Dr. Nawaf Abuoliem, Assistant Professor, Jerash University, Jordan, and Prof. (Dr.) Osman Titrek, Professor, Sakarya University, Turkiye, who shared perspectives on how analytics and immersive technologies can reconfigure industries and governance models.
The second day opened with a Panel Discussion on ‘Data Analytics in the Metaverse: Business and IT Perspective’, chaired by Prof. Anil Mehta, Department of Management, Banasthali Vidyapeeth. After inviting perspectives from all panelists, he steered the discussion toward critical dimensions of analytics within immersive environments. Mr. Rahul Deshmukh, Sales & Strategy Lead – Life Sciences GCC, Accenture, Bangalore, emphasized the interactive nature of the Metaverse and the unparalleled power of its engagement matrix. He underlined that data becomes meaningful only when translated into actionable insights, and stressed that scale and speed are true outcomes of the Metaverse. He also raised concerns on regulatory compliances and algorithmic bias that must be addressed to ensure ethical use. Mr. Nimit Bhargava, Senior Product Manager, DocuSign, Bangalore, urged participants to envision the expanding reach of the Metaverse, foreseeing its evolution from fragmented interactions to seamless experiences that redefine digital engagement. Ms. Anjana Tandon, CEO & Co- Founder, Reckon Computers & Consultant, New Delhi, highlighted dynamic applications of the Metaverse—ranging from gaming, branded immersive experiences in fashion, and virtual concerts to remote therapy and rapid prototyping. She stressed that cloud computing serves as the backbone of this ecosystem, while advocating for stronger data protection and security frameworks to safeguard businesses and consumers alike. Referring to the Metaverse as a “new avatar” of digital existence, she called for responsibility alongside innovation. Mr. Mahavir Pratap Sharma, General Partner, Swishin Ventures, and Co-Founder & Chair, RAIN (Rajasthan Angels), New Delhi, enriched the discussion by presenting real-world examples where data analytics has already transformed or is on the verge of transforming Metaverse applications. He also raised thought-provoking questions about ethical considerations surrounding user data, extending beyond privacy into fairness and transparency.
Further, he reflected on how the convergence of Metaverse and data analytics is redefining business models, and underscored their growing significance for enterprises navigating the future of digital transformation. Concluding the discussion, Prof. Anil Mehta emphasized the importance of integrative approaches that balance technological advancement with ethical, regulatory, and societal dimensions, leaving the audience with a forward-looking perspective.
The third technical session, Strategic Business Decisions, Advanced Data Analytics & Intelligent Insights, included profound contributions from Prof. (Dr.) Beatriz Lucia Salvador Bizoto, UNIFACTVEST University, Brazil, Prof. Maria Emilia Camargo, Dean of International Relations, Veni Creator Christian University, Florida, USA, and Prof. (Dr.) Walter Priesnitz Filho, Federal University of Santa Maria, Brazil, who illuminated the evolving nexus of strategy, technology, and intelligent decision-making. Running parallel to these technical deliberations were paper presentation tracks aligned with the conference theme, which received overwhelming scholarly contributions from diverse fields and disciplines. The first track, Business Transformation in the Era of Metaverse & Data Analytics, chaired by Prof. (Dr.) Ampu Harikrishnan, Visiting Professor, Odesa State Agrarian University, Ukraine, and Dr. Poornima Mathur, Associate Professor, IIIM, Jaipur, showcased research on digital disruptions in business models. The second track, Advanced Data Analytics & Metaverse Development, chaired by Dr. Madhavi Sinha, Associate Professor & HOD, Birla Institute of Technology, Jaipur, and Dr. Nishtha Keswani, Associate Professor, Central University, Ajmer, reflected the diversity of innovative applications of data analytics. The third track, Strategic Business Decisions, Advanced Data Analytics & Intelligent Insights, chaired by Dr. N. K. Joshi, Director, Modi Institute of Management & Technology, Kota, and Dr. Bharti Sharma, Associate Professor, IIIM, Jaipur, featured interdisciplinary explorations on intelligent insights for organizational growth. Across all tracks, the breadth of submissions from business strategy and technology integration to innovation and entrepreneurship highlighted the conference’s role as a global forum for knowledge creation and exchange.
