Diwali Celebration

May this Deepavali be a new beginning of peace, prosperity and happiness for all!

DIWALI CELEBRATION AT THE PLAY HOUSE, IIS

Diwali comes from the Sanskrit word ‘Deepavali’ which means – ‘Rows of lighted lamps’. Diwali stands for a reaffirmation of hope, a renewed commitment to friendship and goodwill, and a religiously sanctioned celebration of the simple – and some not so simple – joys of life and is celebrated by the people all over India.

The kiddies of The Play House celebrated the festival of lights in their own special way on 29 October 2013. The students were clad in traditional outfits to mark the occasion. Events of the day included a colourful presentation by the students. It was an enjoyable event and the judges selected the Best dressed students  from each class.
